Hair trends fall winter 2025 2026: these are the KURO team’s favorites

The change of seasons is the perfect time for something new. New energy, a fresh perspective and, for those who dare, a different form of expression. At KURO, hair is never just about styling. It’s about feeling, character and long-lasting quality. Whether you’re coming in for a signature color treatment, a breezy cut or a scalp detox, we approach hair with craftsmanship and intuition.

For fall and winter 2025 2026, we’re seeing trends that go beyond just looking good. Texture, softness, contrast, layering. All in service of who you are. Our stylists draw inspiration from fashion, street style and art – but above all, from the people in their chairs. No trend without personality.

In this blog, they share their seasonal favorites. Expect ideas with staying power, looks that elevate you and styles that make you feel just a little bit more.

The power of curls according to Nancy

Natural texture is back – big time. According to Nancy, this season is all about embracing your own hair structure. Whether you have curls, gentle waves or a subtle bend, you no longer have to hide it or style it excessively. Think fairy waves or mermaid hair that falls lightly and moves freely.

Many people don’t even know they have curls or beautiful waves until their hair is cut or styled the right way, Nancy explains.

Inspired by social media and editorial work, Nancy sees how the power of curls is becoming more and more visible. She cuts and styles her clients’ hair with an eye for natural movement, making every look personal and unique. It requires a different way of working and thinking. Less heat, more feeling. And with a soft balayage or root blend, the look also stays beautiful for longer.

Nancy's favorite trend

Product tip from Nancy: use a light curl cream, curl balm or sea salt spray that enhances texture without weighing it down.

Color tip: subtle highlights or a low-maintenance balayage that follows your curl pattern.

Full and flawless according to Zoë

After seasons filled with messy texture and undone styling, it’s time for a bit more polish. Zoë is a fan of the comeback of classic layers. Voluminous layered haircuts that create both movement and structure. Think full layers starting around ear height, a sexy face-framing fringe, and a healthy, radiant finish.

This haircut gives Zoë endless color inspiration – from glossy brunettes to cool smoky blondes or a playful pop of color. The shape of the haircut enhances the color even more.

You’ll see the trend everywhere. From celebrities to salon clients looking for a fresh start. What Zoë loves most about this style is the versatility. You can wear it classically with a soft blowout or add a subtle edgy touch like face-framing highlights or an unexpected tint.

Zoe's Favorite trend

Color tip from Zoë: smoky blonde with contrast for a classy look with character.

Styling tip: use shine-boosting products like a light serum or blowout cream to make the layers fall perfectly.

Quiet luxury in your hair according to Wiardi

Shine, volume and elegance. Wiardi’s favorite trend for the upcoming season is the Polished Blowout. This bouncy blow-dry look is chic, flattering and surprisingly wearable. Think perfectly blow-dried layers, a subtle bend at the ends and a glossy glass-like finish.

This look feels like quiet luxury, says Wiardi. The hair looks healthy, full and confident. Exactly what you want for fall and winter.

You’ll spot the Polished Blowout at brands like Chanel, but also on TikTok, where influencers and stars like Zendaya and Hailey Bieber are embracing the trend. Wiardi loves this style not only for its strong visual impact but also for the technical skill it requires. With the right technique and product knowledge, he tailors the blowout to each client’s face shape, texture and personal style.

Wiardi's favorite trend

Color tip from Wiardi: warm autumn shades like rich brunettes, copper or caramel tones

Product tip: volumizing mousse, thickening spray and a light hairspray keep the look airy yet long-lasting

Ready for your own runway-worthy blowout?

Controlled chaos according to Gary

There’s a fresh breeze blowing through the salon. More and more clients want lighter, airier, less heavy hair. Gary sees a clear shift towards hair that can breathe. Looser, freer, with less overstyling. Whether it’s a bob, shag or even a modern mullet – it’s all about texture, shape and expression.

I cut ninety percent of my clients’ hair dry, says Gary. That way, I can immediately see how the hair falls, where it bends or resists. I can work more precisely and truly let the shape emerge.

Gary uses his feather blade as a creative tool. He slices, carves and sculpts layers that combine playfulness with control. No standard haircut, but a style that comes from what the hair itself wants to do. Each haircut gains a natural movement that you only need to tousle with your hands and a little matte paste.

Gary's favorite trend

Product tip from Gary: matte paste or dry texture spray for a rough but airy finish

Favorite technique: dry cutting with a razor for a chaos-with-order look that works with every hair type

Want a cut that moves with you?

Butter blonde according to Indy

A little soft, a little creamy, a little golden. Butter blonde is the trending blonde shade of the moment – and not just on social media. The color is also showing up more and more on the street. For Indy, this warm, summery blonde is flattering, modern and surprisingly versatile.

Butter yellow is trending not only in hair, but also in furniture and fashion. It fits this moment perfectly, she says.

As a color specialist, she especially loves how technically challenging butter blonde is. The hair is first carefully lightened with Silklift. Then it’s toned with Colorance for the perfect glow. To keep the color vibrant, she recommends a color sealer – especially when sun, sea and chlorine come into play.

Indy's favorite trend

Styling tip: pair the color with a glossy blowout for a fresh, luxe finish

Color tip: a tone between light and honey blonde, tailored to your skin tone and hair quality

Want that rich, soft blonde that makes you glow?
