The hair colour trends of fall-winter 2025-26: shine, richness and natural tones
Say goodbye to beachy hair and hello to deep, glossy colours. The current hair colour trends are all about luxury: rich, deep tones with mirror-like shine. We’ve listed the most eye-catching trends for you:
1. High shine trend
Matte, dull colours are making way for shine. Lots of it. Shine is the new status symbol, achieved through the right colour technique and care. KURO’s Bianca already mentioned this trend: “Shiny hair is back, and deep, glossy colours are becoming very important.” At KURO, we also see growing demand for hair colouring with extra shine. We only use the highest quality colour formulas that give your hair beautiful depth while maintaining or even improving hair health. Ready for a new colour? Book your appointment now. Our stylists will work with you to achieve your dream colour.

2. Deep, rich colour tones
Caramel, espresso, chestnut brown, cherry red or smoky black: warm, deep colours are completely in. They add extra depth and dimension to your hair. Thinking about a colour transformation? Choose a tone that matches your skin’s undertone — warm or cool. Unsure? Get advice in our salon; the right colour really makes a difference in the final look. Our stylists have years of colour experience and will work with you to find the best fit for your wishes, skin tone and hair type.
3. The mono-tone trend
This trend is all about a single colour. After years of highlights and balayages, there’s now room for all-over colour. It makes a real statement. Think of a sleek bob in wine red or a mullet in cool ash blonde. Bold, stylish and very now.

4. Natural colour transitions
When playing with multiple tones, the look is subtle. No harsh transitions, just a soft, natural blend of shades. Think shadow roots, where the roots are darker for a natural gradient. Or tones that seamlessly flow into one another so you can’t tell where one ends and the next begins. Ask our stylists what would suit your look — there’s often more possible than you might think!
5. Red tones remain hot
From mahogany to cherry red: warm red tones made their comeback years ago and are here to stay. These shades offer lots of depth and warmth, but they’re also bold. Since red fades faster than other colours, it’s important to maintain it with proper care, toners or colour masks. Want to know what your hair needs? Ask our stylists — they know exactly what your red locks need to keep that stunning colour!
6. Hair care is part of your colour
Today’s colour trends go hand in hand with care. Healthy hair means shine and colour that lasts longer. After colouring, we often recommend a bond-repairing treatment to restore strength and health from the inside out. We also suggest products with proteins and antioxidants to nourish your hair and help the colour stay vibrant. It’s best to avoid products with sulphates, alcohol or silicones — these can cause colour fade and dry out your hair.
