• Do I need a consultation first?+

  Yes, every new colour or transformation starts with a complimentary 15-minute consultation, in person or via video.

• How do I choose a treatment?+

• Are you specialized in hair coloring?+

  Yes, color is one of our core disciplines. KURO is an ambassador salon for Goldwell, the leading brand in healthy hair color with long-lasting results. We have tested and chosen carefully and only work with the very best premium products, including many ammonia-free color options and even ammonia-free blondes. Feel free to ask your stylist all about it. Our team includes several color specialists, among them Zoe, Qasim, Bianca, Indy and Nancy. Our other stylists color too and are coached by the color specialists, and every other week the whole team receives additional training in color techniques.

• I want blonde hair. What is the difference between highlights, full bleach and a platinum card?+

  Highlights give your hair a sunkissed effect. With 1/3 highlights we lighten the top layer and especially your face frame. If you go for 2/3 or whole head, you can choose ultra fine highlights that blend completely with your own hair for a natural blonde with soft contrast, or go for highlights with more contrast. Highlights are a creative technique: we tailor them completely to your wishes. With whole head we also include the underneath sections, so your hair looks beautifully blonde even in a ponytail. Full bleach is full on blonde: a complete bleach without foils, best suited for hair without previous color that is not too long or too thick. The platinum card is a highlight technique where the sections are placed back to back, lifting almost all of your hair for the lightest, most even result possible. Ideal for platinum blondes, very long hair and darker hair types that want to go significantly lighter.

• What is a High Shine Full Color?+

  Two color services in one treatment. First your hair gets a permanent color, for example a warm brunette, red or another trend shade. Then we apply a gloss toning in the same shade. It adds extra pigment and is packed with lipids that fill the hair from within. The result: intense color depth and 2 to 3 months of ultimate shine. Our go-to recommendation with every full color.

• How do I keep colored hair healthy and shiny?+

  With the right in-salon treatments and good home care. In the salon we work with Olaplex, renewal treatments and Glass Hair. You always receive tailored product advice, with options for every hair type and every budget. If you invest in home care, your couture color stays beautiful longer and you need fewer color appointments.

• What does a color treatment cost at KURO?+

  It depends on the technique, your hair length, the amount of color and above all your wishes. Book a free color consultation online: our specialist will look at your hair with you and create a plan with a clear price indication. We are also transparent about what comes next: when to return and what maintenance costs throughout the year. If you book a color without a consultation, we always do one beforehand and you will know the price before we start. Our system measures exactly how much color we use; if your hair needs a little more during the treatment, the price may vary by a few euros.

• Can you cover grey hair or help me grow it out beautifully?+

  Both. With Natural Grey Cover we cover grey hair in a natural, glossy way, so you see less grey without a harsh regrowth line. We work with a toning or Elumen, depending on your hair type, and the color largely washes out. If you want to embrace your grey, we create a tailored Grey Blending plan to gradually let more grey come through from your full color.

• Are you specialized in curly hair?+

  Yes. Our team trains extensively in curly hair and we work with Oribe's curl line, with care and styling for every curl type, from fine to porous hair. We always start with a diagnosis. Sometimes we cut the hair dry first if your curl asks for it, then we treat your hair thoroughly at the backwash and style your curls beautifully, curl by curl.

• What is an O-Way detox treatment?+

  Our detox and intense treatments are by O-Way. The scalp detox cleanses and resets your scalp, the foundation of healthy hair. We also offer five intense treatments to improve scalp and hair. After a hair analysis we advise which treatment your hair needs.
